Dumpster fires were burning around midnight Sunday night at four elementary schools along Saginaw Parkway. Police aren't certain that the fires were set, but "I would say they were suspicious," said Staff Sgt. Craig Ambrose. Firefighters responded between 11:45 p.m. and 12:16 a.m. and were able to contain the damage to the dumpsters themselves, he said. The schools are: Mother Teresa and St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic elementary schools; and Clemens Mills and Saginaw public schools.
