This outlines key accomplishments for CMPS Council over the 2008-2009 school year:1. Welcomed new council and council members.
2. Issued council communications through clemensmill.ca, clemensmillcouncil.blogspot.com, email parent list and school newsletter.
3. Secured provincial PRO Grant to conduct parent seminars.
4. Secured Board Parent Involvement Grant for Family BBQ.
5. Raised funds for value-added programs, purchases and activities:
- Guest speakers and seminars for children and parents
- Alphasmart Neo™ minicomputers
- Guided reading tables
- 8th Grade Yearbook production
- Science kits
- Resource books and novel sets
6. Supported a number of volunteer programs:
- Special lunch programs
- Tuck shop
- TV turn off week
- Year-end family BBQ
- Classroom support
7. Fielded parent surveys through school newsletter in order to assess parent needs and to guide council program offerings.
